Spirit and Sound got started in 2025 with its first private set. This was a success and people really liked it. That first session helped figure out the direction of Spirit and Sound. It was about making music that was atmospheric and had a lot of percussion. The people behind Spirit and Sound wanted to create experiences where people could really listen to the music. They wanted to show what makes the music scenes in South Africa so special. Spirit and Sound is about highlighting DJs who are really passionate, about what they do. These DJs make sets that have a great rhythm and make you want to move. They also have a lot of groove and deep basslines that really drive the music. Spirit and Sound is focused on showcasing the best of South Africas music scenes.
